A team from Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, visited Ema Foundation, a home for destitute children, at New Keithelmanbi under Kangpokpi district, on Sunday, 30th January 2022.
The centre is home for 18 destitute children, between 3 to 14 years of age and from various ethnic background, who are being taken care by Sri. Doujalal Haokip & Smt. M. Rebati Haokip, without any support staff or any regular source of income, solely depending on gifts & donations received occasionally from general public.
Food Ration (Rice, Dal, Grams, Soya nuggets, Cooking Oil, Onions, Garlic, Salt, Sugar, etc.) & Snacks items (Biscuits, Milk Drinks, Milk Powder, Choco Flakes, etc.), Stationaries (Pen, Pencil, Notebooks, Sharpener, Erasers, coloring materials, color books & Story books, etc.), Toiletries (Bathing Soap, Washing Powder, Hair Oil, Toothpaste, Toothbrush & Vaseline), Sports items & Toys (Badminton Sets, Frisbees, Hoola Hoop, Skipping Ropes, carrom board, clay dough, stuffed toy, doll, play sets, block game, etc.) and Warm Clothings (Hoodies, Warm Trousers, warm Socks, etc) were provided for the inmates.
The children were also provided with a nutritious breakfast and lunch, of their choosing, which was relished by all the inmates along with the visiting team.
