Winter Relief @ Gamnom Sapormeina, Songpijang and Tumuyon Khullen.

Continuing with its winter relief services, on Thursday, 02 Dec, 2021, the Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, distributed 150 Fleece Blankets to the needy and elderly villagers at Gamnom Sapormeina, Songpijang, Kangpokpi Dt and Tumuyon Khulllen, Senapati Dt.

32 blankets were provided at Gamnom Sapormeina, 58 at Songpijang & 60 at Tumuyon Khullen.

Songpijang is at a distance of 80 Kms from Imphal and takes more than 3 hours to reach due to its remote location & poor road conditions. Although it’s a 40 Kms inward journey from National Highway, but, the hilly terrain is full of scenic beauty with several small villages nestled in picturesque surroundings, all through the way. These are inhabited by diverse communities, Kukis, Nagas, Nepali, & even Buddhist. One can come across temples, churches & also a Buddhist Monastery, on the way to Songpijang.
